LMC designed a dynamic new headquarters for New Acropolis, transforming a raw, 4000 sq ft site into a hub encompassing an, event hall, classrooms, and an inviting open kitchen, office. Working within budget, the design and execution focused on creating a light, welcoming environment that reflects the spirit of this non-profit cultural organization.

The inherent structure of the site became a key design element. The main structural beams, which beautifully framed each area, were deliberately left exposed and painted in New Acropolis's signature green. This bold choice not only highlighted the architecture but was further enhanced with indirect lighting and coves, adding depth and visual interest throughout the office space.

Our design philosophy centered on seamless transitions between spaces. The event hall, a flexible layout within their headquarters, can function as one expansive area or be easily divided into two separate halls. This adaptable space enjoys direct access to the main kitchen, complete with an open bar/breakfast counter, fostering connection and community within the organization.

The library within the headquarters embraces sustainability, featuring repurposed shelves from New Acropolis's previous office, cleverly retrofitted. Paired with newly designed open and inviting furniture and doors, the library offers a welcoming atmosphere for learning and contemplation at the heart of their operations.

Natural light was maximized, with windows framed by warm wooden borders, adding a touch of natural elegance to the entire headquarters. Above, the ceilings feature acoustic panels integrated within cove lighting, creating a subtle rhythm and improving the auditory experience across all functions of the space. Each classroom, an integral part of their educational offerings at the headquarters, is thoughtfully detailed with wooden skirting and complementary wooden window frames.

In the conference room, a key meeting space within their headquarters, we aimed to evoke the charm of a traditional drawing board. A subtle beige palette, concealed doors, and strategically placed "pattis" (strips) that frame the walls contribute to a sophisticated yet understated ambiance.

This project for New Acropolis demonstrates LMC's commitment to resourceful design and meticulous execution in creating a functional and inspiring headquarters. We are thrilled to have created a vibrant and multifaceted space that supports the important work of this cultural organization.
